Wednesday Work Nights
Every Wednesday from 6:30 until dusk we will be working in the garden (except when prevented by weather!) These work nights are open to (and intend for) citizens of Garfield and its surrounding neighborhoods. Please come out and visit! If you would like more information, contact the farm!
Independently Coordinated Workdays
GCF frequenly and joyfully partners with other volunteer organizations in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas to coordinate joint workdays. If you have a group of people or organization you would like to volunteer with, please contact the farm and we would be happy to schedule a workday tailored to your needs. We ask only that any groups who partner with us consider and respect the vision of the farm, which is to bless and empower the citizens of Garfield.
Misc. Opportunities
Due to its recent inception, GCF has many needs that you might be able to meet. If you are willing to donate your time and talents to things like web design, community outreach, or event planning — please let us know!

I go to Bellefield church, and have friends at the Open Door who told me about Garfield Farm. I was wondering if you have volunteer work days on Saturdays, too?

Yes, we have Saturday volunteer days from 9am – about 3pm on the first Saturday of every month. We partner with Open Hand Ministries on these. We would love to see a group from Bellefield come out! Of course you can come on your own too.
