Date and time: Sunday, March 24 from 2pm to 4pm
Location: Garfield Community Farm
Cost: $10
Description: For the first half of the class, Joe Frankiewicz, a local naturalist, will lead participants through a guided drawing of a selected tree specimen. During this time, Joe will also point out which features to observe when trying to identify trees in the winter. For the second half of class, participants will explore GCF's site to select a tree to draw on their own (with guidance from Joe as needed). This will be an outdoor class, so please dress accordingly. Participants should plan on bringing their own pencils and paper (these materials will be provided for those who don't have them). Refreshments will be provided. You can check out some of Joe's work on his instagram page @alleghenyflorafauna.
